The St. Joseph's Peace and Social Justice Commission is hosting an evening of Wabanaki/Maine history called, "Truth, Healing and Change." This Maine-Wabanaki REACH educational presentation, facilitated by Barbara Kates, explores the shared history of Maine’s Wabanaki people and of the people whose ancestors came to Maine from Europe.

This event is free and open to the public, will be held at the St. Joseph's Church (in the parish hall, 231 Maine St, Ellsworth) and will follow a potluck supper (please come even if you can’t bring anything!). The potluck begins at 5:30pm.

In her presentation, Ms. Kates will describe the Maine Wabanaki State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the formation of the Maine-Wabanaki REACH group.
