The Wellness Gathering will be held at Indian Township on Monday and Tuesday, October 10 and 11. We will gather to focus on food as medicine and decolonizing our diets. The Wabanaki Wellness Gathering is open to all Wabanaki, and our families, friends, and colleagues who work with us toward wellness in Wabanaki communities.
The general public is invited to attend the Monday evening shared supper and social with drumming by the Huntley Brook Singers at 5 pm. What better way to celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day than with drumming and singing.
We will be raising funds and food for the Indian Township Food Pantry - so if you are able, bring a non-perishable food item or toiletry item to donate as "admission" to the social or make a monetary gift.
Food contributions toward the shared supper are also welcomed.
