Sit with someone you care about and watch Dawnland on Independent Lens on Maine Public TV on November 20th from 9:00 - 10:00 PM then gather again a week later for a panel discussion with some of the people who created the truth commission process and Wabanaki REACH on Sunday, November 28th at 4:00 PM.
Dawnland is a documentary about the Maine Wabanaki-State Child Welfare Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) process. Film makers from the Upstander Project, Adam Mazo and Ben Pender-Cudlip, follow the TRC to contemporary Wabanaki communities to witness intimate, sacred moments of truth-telling and healing.
